🏆 #1 CEO Coach Gives Away Entire Curriculum

It's not just for CEOs. Every business person should read it.

This is The Level Ups. Modern business news for the future business leader (in plain-Jane English).

Today:

  • World’s #1 CEO gives away his entire curriculum.

  • The highlights

  • Why “fee giveaways” aren’t always what they seem.

This article is shorter because the links give you a lot to read anyway.

Let’s get into it.

Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes & 1 seconds.

Matt Mochary Gives The Curriculum Away

If you’ve never heard of Matt Mochary, he’s the best. Clients include the CEOs of Notion, Open AI, Reddit, Coinbase, Plaid, Opendoor, and so many more. They all take his advice.

Pricing is on it. He’s charging anywhere from $10k to $12.5k per month. That’s just based on the docs. Other clients are likely charged more.

If not, then it's a steal. These business owners are responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars. A coach is worth much more than 10k/month at that level.

If your business makes less than $3M in profits, these documents will help you crush it if you act on them. If not, I'll refund your subscription 🤭

The Highlights:

All the sections are good. These are my favourites with a summary.

Why Free Giveaways Have a Bad Name (Sometimes)

To be clear: Matt did it the right way. But most people don’t. Giving gold like this away for free gets a bad name because it’s often not actually free.

Take a simple giveaway. You sign up with your email to download something. The kicker? Email marketing has an average return on investment (ROI) of 49x. That's the average, meaning that if you're better than 50% of email marketers, you'll make more.

It turns out that getting your email is much more valuable than the money they would have made just selling you the download. The 49x ROI includes people who unsubscribe.

This isn’t so bad, because you get what you want and it doesn’t cost any money. Chances are you could buy something from them again. It may not be “free” per-se, but not having to part with dollars sounds nice. If you don’t buy things from that person in the future, it won’t cost you any money.

So, that example is not so bad. But, it gets worse.

Here’s an example.

Many marketing professionals give away courses on how to create and use Facebook (FB) ads to get more customers.

Have you ever wondered why they would teach other people how to make money as they do? Seriously, why would they give away your secrets?

If a marketing person sells a course on running FB ads, chances are that person is not using FB ads anymore. They’ve probably moved on to something better.

They aren’t teaching you the new thing yet. That comes later. After it’s not so good anymore, then they’ll charge you to teach them. Either in cash or for your email. Hopefully, the latter.

Great things don’t last. It’s not true in all cases, but what Matt is giving away is tremendous. Make sure to check out his book The Great CEO Within.

So while what he’s giving away is fantastic, not everything will be. Choose wisely.

Again, you can see the entire curriculum here. Might want to have it just in case.

Thanks for reading!

See you tomorrow.
